3rd March -- Grasmere, Lake District | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
We got an early start, just after 10 am and with the forecast of heavy rain coming in all 3 groups finished before 3 pm - the A's and B's cutting their plans, but still all 3 groups had walks of 8 miles plus. The Lake District walking is still the best in the country! | |||||
The A walk took the Easedale Road to Blindtarn Gill and on to Swinescar Hause, then drop down to Pye Howe then on to Elterwater, coming back via Red Bank into Grasmere. | |||||

The return was via The Coffin Route to White Moss Common, turning to Wood Close and on to Forrest Side. Finally back in Grasmere via Grasmere Meadows. | |||||
